The curriculum at Bingus Academy is:
Ambitious and designed to empower students with deep, powerful knowledge.
Coherently sequenced across subjects to help students grasp the connections between key concepts and engage with significant questions.
Rigorous and enriching, fostering a love of learning, promoting kindness, building character, and encouraging students to strive for excellence, ensuring that all students at Bingus Academy thrive and have bright futures.
The curriculum encompasses everything we provide from the moment students join in Year 7 until they graduate in Year 13. We prioritize academic rigor and maintain the highest expectations, ensuring that our curriculum is both challenging and stimulating. Our goal is to provide all students, regardless of their background, with the best possible foundation for a bright future.
At Bingus Academy, we understand that improving educational outcomes is one of the most powerful ways to impact students’ lives positively. School is preparation for life, and we aim to deliver the best curriculum to provide students with as many opportunities to succeed as possible.
Education, in our view, is not limited to academic results. It includes a child's intellectual, social, and emotional development, as well as fostering citizenship, responsibility, happiness, and success. Our curriculum—both academic and co-curricular—is built on four core principles: instilling a love of learning, building character, promoting kindness, and inspiring students to strive for excellence. We believe these principles will help ensure all our students have bright futures.
Please note that Bingus Academy is a fully inclusive, non-faith school. While we respect all religions, we require all students to fully participate in the curriculum. The only exception is sex education, where, in line with the RSE Policy, parents may request to withdraw their child by completing the form in the policy document, available on the school website under Key Information.
